How does a network activate a public?

How can individuals undertake their practice in the public sphere as part of a network, at a distance from their physical location? What aspect of your practice or what type of project is interesting to imagine producing elsewhere, remotely? How can a network facilitate culture in public, and with the public?

The South Project is interested to hear your thoughts on how you do, or could imagine, working from your home to practice elsewhere as part of a global network. We invite speculation, utopian dreams and ideas that are realisable through the conduit of a network. We propose to circulate all initial responses via our website with the possibility that some of these ideas might be activated, with your involvement, within the physical public space of Melbourne in late 2010.
