About South Residencies & Exchange

The South Project is focused on generating exchange opportunities for a growing network of artists, writers, curators and educators. By linking different countries of the south we aim to further a dialogue on engaging art thinking and production away from the epicentres of the art world.

The key aims for the Residency Program are to provide opportunities for artists to explore ways of linking different cultures of the south through through first hand experiences by supporting mobility, and to encourage artistic creation and production through collaboration.

2. •South / RMIT Artist in Residence 2008:  Fiona Jack (New Zealand) in Melbourne, Australia
   June - August 2008
   Exhibition: Taxi
   Opening night:  Thursday 21 August 2008 from 5 to 7pm.
   Floor Talk: Friday 22 August 2008, 12 to 1pm.
   Exhibition runs until 5 September 2008 (Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5.00pm)
