Why Network?
The South Project is focused on generating exchange opportunities for a growing network of artists, writers, curators and educators. In this sense, the South Project is working as a vehicle to explore ways of linking different countries of the south, and furthering a dialogue on engaging art thinking and production away from the epicentres of the art world. Experience of cultural difference can deeply inform and influence artistic creation.
Partnerships / Artistic Networks
The South Project works with the visual culture sector to deliver a rich program of events that complements, rather than competes with, existing arts organisations and agencies. These partnerships enable the delivery of an expanded range of programs and events that enhance the potential for audience engagement.
The South Project has an unique approach to artistic network development and content delivery, based on extensive partnerships. Collaborations with individuals artists, groups, and organisations (from artist collectives to major national bodies across the south), have diversified the South Project’s reach and enhanced its accessibility. Collaborative programming enables partners to share their expertise, facilitate skill exchange, and create cross-sector professional development opportunities, both local and global.
